She could be a rat. (She had been, among the royalty.)
She could be a scholar. (She was, among the rats.)
She could be a warrior. (She was, among the royalty.)
She could be a coward (She had been.)
She could be a courageous. (She had been.)
She couldn’t seem to figure out what she really was. (What she should be.)
But with Ichigo, it felt as if it didn’t really matter.
Maybe because he was just as torn as she, more torn in some ways. (Was this home?)
