Summary: Duo goes to church.
Without fail, every Sunday, Duo goes to church. Not usually the same one, and not always Catholic. There was even one memorial time he spent a few hours leaning against a wall of synagogue.
It's not because he believes in God or that he even wants to. He's not going to rule out that he'll never believe in god; he's seen enough in his life to know anything is possible. It's just that he's seen the world chose peace over bloodshed and if anything would have made Duo believe in a God, other than the one of death, he's sure that that would have been it.
He doesn't go in memory of the Maxwell Church. He's got that covered in his name, braid, clothing, and the silver cross he wears every moment of the day.
It's something less personal, but just as important. He doesn't believe in God, but he admires the people who can, in spite of everything the world has been through. Because of everything the world has been through. He likes to close his eyes and soak in that belief, it reminds him of what he fought for and what he will continue to fight for.
Without fail, every Sunday when he leaves church, he offers a prayer for all the lives he's destroyed.
